Why Me? 

Every voice artist says they can help you.  So why choose me as your next voiceover?

To start with you like the sound of my voice. Great!

But there are hundreds, thousands of nice sounding voice over artists out there.

Here’s what I offer that makes me, well, me:

  • I’ve worked in many different roles, in many different industries over my career(s). For a long time I worked in businesses from banking and insurance to healthcare and digital television. I bring experience and knowledge from all these industries to my voice work.

  • I’ve travelled widely in and around more than 15 different countries.

  • I’ve lived on two continents, in four different countries.

  • I studied acting and have worked in film and television.

  • I’m a published writer of articles in newspapers and magazines, poetry and a book.

So what?

All these things bring depth to my approach to your voiceover project.

I get inside it.

I don’t just read your script, highlight a few words and hope I hit the right note.

I make sure I understand who you’re talking to, how you feel about it, why you want and need to put this message across. And I believe that brings an honesty and truth to my voiceover services, A truth that your message needs and that gives a depth to your production that means it will resonate better with your intended audience.

Ultimately, of course, you need the voice that sounds right for your project. And my voice isn’t going to be right for everything!

I also perform in various accents. Many UK regional accents (Yorkshire, West Country, Estuary, London, Scottish) as well as other world accents including French and Scandinavian accents.

I work a lot in corporate voiceover for corporate videos, explainers and promo videos. My e-learning narration has (so far) spanned subjects ranging from restaurant health and safety to the procedures for docking a cargo ship. I’m an audiobook narrator of thrillers, women’s fiction and non-fiction business and history books. I’ve also lent my voice to video games and audio dramas. Medical narration is another area I specialise in, providing assured, calm and authoritative voiceover for medical, healthcare and pharmaceutical companies and organisations.
